Resurrector of our Faith

My dear friend, this month the Lord says that He is going to be the ‘Resurrector of our faith’. If we look at Mark 9:24 in the Bible it says, “Immediately the boy's father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”. That is what God is going to do this month by resurrecting our faith.

Why does the father say this? His son is a demon possessed and oppressed boy so the father could not stand what the devil spirits were doing to Him. He asked Jesus, are you able to do something for him, Lord? Will you have pity on us and help us? The Lord says, are you asking me, if I can do it! Do you not know that I have the power to deliver your son? We ask things in unbelief like this. Because the world in which we are living, the natural way of living limits our mind.

Too often we think naturally like other people, limiting the power of God by trying to approach Him only in human ways- we say Lord, can you do something to help? Can you do this thing Lord like other people are doing? But the Lord does not do it according to worldly ways, He does much greater acts.

My friend, according to the above verse, belief is so important because only belief in the Lord makes us ask Him. Otherwise we will never ask Him anything, we will not search for Him and belief in who the Lord is, what He can do, makes us ask for great things. Otherwise we will end up only asking for small things, limiting His power.

And what we ask the Lord, He will do. If we ask small things, that is what we will receive. We often pray, ‘just help me pass Lord, just give me bread for one day, let me survive this moment, tomorrow let me see what I can do, if not 100% let me just get healed 10%. We start thinking so small. But God wants us to believe in what He can do. He wants us to believe in the Supernatural and when we do, He will resurrect our faith and give us the gift of faith to believe.

Sometimes, we don’t believe because of our defeats and failures in our lives. After that we start to think humanly- that’s it I am finished, my career is over, my marriage is finished and there is no way I have failed in this. And sometimes we don’t believe that the Lord will bless us, if we follow His righteous way and we start doing unholy things, following unholy ways, corrupt ways, just like other people in this world.

Unbelief causes us to walk away from the perfect will of God. It breaks the Lord’s heart. ‘My children don’t believe me enough to receive my help and that I will fight for them.’ My friend, let us ask God, ‘Lord help me overcome my unbelief.’

‘Let me tell you about a woman in the Bible who struggled for twelve long years with a blood issue. One day, she heard that Jesus was walking through a crowd. She pushed the crowd, somehow made her way to Jesus and aimed to touch the edge of His cloak. ‘The edge of His cloak’, that was her belief. ‘One touch in His cloak’. And when she reached out and touched the edge, the power of God moved into her body and that instant she was healed. The Lord Jesus immediately stopped and turned to see who had touched Him. Jesus felt His power leaving Him and He searched who was the person who touched me? And when the women finally saiḍ, Lord it was me. He said ‘your faith has made you well, go in peace.’

My friend the Lord was so joyous to see the faith of that woman. He wants to give us that same kind of faith. Today declare in faith, ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’; ‘My Lord God shall supply all my needs according to His glorious riches.’ Wherever you have failed, wherever you feel broken, whatever has been destroyed or lost in your life- bring it to Him. Ask God to resurrect your heart, resurrect your unbelief and experience His supernatural power.

Yes, one touch reaching out to the Lord, in prayer and the power of God will move into your life. May the Lord bless you this month to prosper with this faith.

With much prayers,

Samuel Dhinakaran
