My friend,
this month God has given a wonderful promise from Luke 6:38, which says,
“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
Yes! God is going to return to you in a mighty way for all that you have given to Him. Many times we forget about giving to God. As young people we plan for so many things like planning a trip with friends, planning for treats, saving money to buy a wonderful bike or a new phone.
We are so occupied, planning for so many things by giving our money to these things and we forget about giving back to God for all the goodness He has shown us. We totally ignore Him in this busy life. And only when we are down in wealth or in money that we even remember Him.
But my friends it is always good to give to the Lord, to always remember and honor Him first in our life, that is what a man called Abel did compared to his brother Cain. He gave his best and his first fruits that came up in his land. And God was so pleased because through that offering to God He saw Abel’s heart, He saw that Abel treasured God and His blessing above all things in his life. He was willing to sacrifice the first and the best of what he had and gave it to God.
In what ways God gives back to us! In a ‘good measure’ and ‘run over’ way that we will not be able to contain the blessing, it will be poured into our lap. Trust Him and God will give you many times more than what you give Him. Your life will flourish so much.
There was a woman called Bhagyalakshmi, she had so many troubles with her husband not being united together when she got married. So much fighting and shouting. She felt all alone in that house because even the in-laws were not with her. They were against her. She couldn’t even bear to put a handful of food in her mouth in that house. That’s when somebody introduced her to the Prayer Tower in Trichy. They prayed for her and said, enrol your family in the Family Blessing Plan and given an offering to the Lord. And she did so honoring the Lord. Just within a few months, the whole situation in her family changed. Every problem between her and her husband disappeared. And they came together as a family on the stage when we had a meeting in Trichy and testified. And God added a son to her life and so much love came into their family. And in the midst of this, they also gave their best to build a Prayer Tower in Jesus Calls. God blessed that offering and today they are so surprised to live in their own house built by God.
Yes! Beautiful house, with a family life flourishing. That’s the amount that God gives back. He knows how to give, He just wants you to trust in Him, to remember Him every month, every day to give your all to Him. He loves when we give with our hearts full of joy to Him. He will honor us.
So, give from the first of your earnings or income from that month, give the best to Him. Even when we were little our father and mother would give money in our hands and say put the offering in the offering bag and that’s how we learned to give to the Lord in the young age. As you learn this, the Lord will be close to you and honor you in all that you do.
So far whatever you have sown in His kingdom, you will get back in great measure. It will run over. Every lack in your family will disappear and God’s riches will flow in your life as you continue to give Him.
